Inexpensive Thoughtfulness

July 28, 2010

Have you ever wanted to do something thoughtful for someone, but just didn’t get around to it?  Or maybe money was an issue?

If it was more convenient, would you be more apt to send thank you cards to clients, send cards asking for referrals or remember birthdays?

As busy as life can be, it takes time to drive to the store, choose a card, pick out just the right gift, go home and wrap it, and then take it to the post office.  Then on top of that, between the $3.50 for the card, another 44¢ for postage, $10 if you buy a gift and another $6 for postage for the gift, plus gas money, your into $20 and a lot of time for being thoughtful.  So much for spur of the moment.

BUT!

What if I could show you a way to conveniently do all of this in less time, with less effort and for less money?

In fact, what if you never had to leave your house or touch any of the items involved?

And if you could do it for, say $10, would that be even better?

You guessed it!  There is a way.

Convenient Cards Online.

One thing I want to clarify right up front.  These are not e-cards. I’m talking about an actual, physical paper card that is printed and sent through the mail to someone’s mailbox. Someone who needs to hear from you.

Here are some of the fun things you can do with this system.

As a non-member you can choose from thousands of beautiful cards with richly colored photographs and write in a variety of    fonts, all for only $2.99 and that includes postage.

If you are so inclined, you can also send a gift, such as a book, a magazine subscription, a box of chocolates, a candle, a gift card or a choice of many other things… along with your card.

Or gain access to the entire system with a higher priced membership (see details below)

Sending a card using the system is very easy.  All you need to do is follow these three simple steps:

  • STEP 1 – Login into the system and choose a card.
  • STEP 2 - Write a note to the person you’re sending the card to.
  • STEP 3 – Preview it and then hit send.

No more searching greeting card stores for an appropriate card.  No more stuffing envelopes.  No more licking stamps.  No more taking the cards to the post office box.

The System prints it, stuffs it and mails it, all for less than a greeting card at the store. The recipient gets a printed, personalized card from YOU in the mail.

Try it right now!  Send a card to someone in your home so you can see the quality for yourself and at the same time earn some brownie points with that special person =)  No trip to the card store or the post office, just click on the link below and see just how easy it is.

Convenient Card Shoppe

With over 2500 Greeting Cards to Choose from, you’ll never have to step into another greet card store ever again! We have a team of graphic designers that create some of the most beautiful, witty, and attractive greeting cards on just about every subject you can imagine.

But Here’s the Most Amazing and Powerful Part of the System…

Imagine, with just the push of a button, being able to send a series of personally customized postcards or greeting cards to your prospects, customers or friends without ever touching a single card and at any interval you determine.  Once you set it up, you can just forget it. The cards will go out on time, in the right order, exactly as if you had sent them out yourself, much like an email autoresponder system.

    KARE Coco Soap

    July 26, 2010

After several learning situations, we have finally produced a successful batch of our new Coconut Soap…however, due to our pre-order customers, it is already sold!

Now that we have “mastered” this recipe, we will be making a larger batch this week, which will be available for use by mid-August.  I will post on the website as soon as it is ready to be sold.

This new batch will be made with a mint essential oil blend.  Nice and refreshing for a hot summer day!

This batch will contain only the following two ingredients:

    • saponified coconut oil (from Mtn Rose Herbs)
    • peppermint essential oil blend (no synthetic fragrances)

We do have a minimal amount of ends and pieces if anyone is interested in purchasing them.  These bars will be sold by the pound and will contain a combination of the following scents:

    $10 per pound

    • pearberry fragrance oil
    • citrus essential oil blend, which has lost most of it’s scent
    • evergreen essential oil blend

To purchase, contact us here and tell us how many pounds of ends and pieces you would like and we will send you a paypal invoice including your total with shipping.

KARE Soap – back in business

    May 13, 2010

After sending out a survey, we have determined to begin making soap again under the name of our previously owned Soap Business – KARE Soap.  Since we did not sell the name, but only the recipe and ingredients, we will be using a new formula and the bars will be in a traditional rectangle shape, unlike the oval bars we used to make.

We will be doing a test market this summer to see how it goes and then will see what the next step is.  Our first three batches will be curing this month and available for sale in June.  The soap can be ordered at the KARE Store link above or at KAREsoap.com

    Batch One:

Harvest – Organic Coconut Oil with a Woodsy essential oil blend

    Batch Two:

FrostOrganic Coconut Oil with a Minty essential oil blend

    Batch Three:

Vernus – Organic Coconut Oil with a Citrus essential oil blend

These 4 oz bars will be scented with essential oils or organic scents.  Our goal is to provide YOU with a skin-soothing bar of soap that produces a creamy suds, using the best in natural or organic ingredients while still offering the soap to you at affordable prices.  We will always disclose our ingredients so you can make an informed decision.

    PRICES:
    Minimum 6 bars

    6 bars $3.25 each, + $7 shipping

    12 bars $2.50 each + $10 shipping

Wholesale pricing available for orders over 25 bars.

*** SPECIAL PRE-ORDER PRICING AVAILABLE UNTIL MAY 15TH***

These bars must be paid for by May 15th and will ship out to you on or before the second week in June.  You will receive an equal amount of each of the three batches listed above.

    My Mom Bought an iPad

    April 7, 2010
    by karebiz

Yes, it’s true.  My mom, who is not a techy person, bought an iPad.  The best part is, I had never even heard of it until she told me.  How’s that for changing places?

I’ve been a confirmed Mac convert since I bought my MacBook 3 years ago and I never want to go back.  My Mac never gets viruses, it works today just as well as it did when I bought it, and it’s so simple to use!  Why would I go back?

Nearly a year ago I made my second switch to the MAC  iPhone.  Another no brainer.  The best part is, I can even use the phone features without having a contract…  just download the application for a VOIP phone and use it anywhere I have internet.  Granted, that is not convenient when I am out on the road somewhere, but it can cut down on minutes used on my plan.

So what is the iPad?  It’s somewhere inbetween the iPhone and the MacBook.  While it doesn’t have a camera yet and no place to insert CDs, with available applications, the iPad seems to be capable of nearly everything the iPhone has and probably everything that is on the iPod Touch.

Am I going to buy one?  Not at the moment.  I will wait to see what they add in the next generation and how my MacBook holds up first =)

    Soap Berries – Frugal Laundry

    April 2, 2010

If you are like a majority of people right now, you are looking for any and every way to save money.   I’m excited to share my discovery with you.

Soap Berries, or Soap Nuts are the most inexpensive and simple solution!  And the best part is, they are also as natural as you can get.  These little berry-nuts grow on trees!  There is no making them into laundry soap, they already ARE laundry soap when they are harvested!  Pretty nifty!

You can read about how to use these for laundry and other household cleaning at the following link.

    Household Uses

I have also done a random price comparison here so you can see how inexpensive these are.  If you purchase in bulk, soap nuts can be as low as 7¢ per load!  Hard to beat!

What are some of the other advantages?

    1. soap nuts leave your clothes nice and soft without fabric softener – saves you even more money!
    2. they leave no scent when used alone (without adding fragrance) - great for hunters!
    3. no detergent to irritate sensitive skin
    4. completely safe for septic systems
    5. the soap nuts can be recycled into your garden or compost – no waste!

To purchase your own Soap Berries or Soap Nuts, visit our store or click on the link on the right hand side of this page.

Pros: Easy To Use, Good Value, Attractive Design, Durable

Best Uses: Gifts, Master Bathroom, Guest Bathroom, Large Bathroom

    Describe Yourself: Budget Shopper

My plan is to make my own toothpaste and use this pump as the dispenser. It’s so beautiful, I want to leave it out on the counter and make an attractive label to go on the front… or maybe just leave it as is. I like the almost old-fashioned yet clean look it has.
